‘Mida keneged Mida’: One Man’s Oil is another Man’s Disaster!
The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is a monumental ecological,economic and without doubt a political disaster for the Obama administration.
However one cannot help but see the irony in this seemingly unstoppable flow of oil into the pristine waters off the south east coast of the United States.
‘Mida keneged Mida’ or Measure for Measure!
U.S. interests demand the right to dominate the Oil reserves of the world and in particular those of the Middle East.
As such Israel becomes expendable as the price for continued secure oil supplies from Arab – Moslem countries.
America’s appetite for the Black Gold is insatiable and so the U.S. enters into a marriage of convenience with a region that is bewilderingly resistant to any simple policy option.
Moreover this marriage of the serpents’ inevitably conceals a considerable number of extremely delicate political and strategic issues: how to cement this relationship with the Arab world without appearing to abandon the Jewish State of Israel.
The machinations involved ‘leaves one breathless’.
Enter “Divine Providence”. Nothing happens independently of G-d,without His knowledge or ability to intervene.
Thus ‘Mida keneged Mida’, America wants the worlds oil and will stop at nothing to secure that diminishing commodity including the destruction of the Jewish State and all that entails for the Jewish diaspora throughout the world.
In these circumstances Hashem sends judgment in the shape of a natural disaster one that echo’s the element at the heart of this betrayal. America you can have all the oil you wish till it literally suffocates your waterways,economy and national icons.
Be in no doubt there are no exceptions when it comes to cursing the Jewish people the result is always the same the eventual collapse and disappearance of the offending Empire.
History is littered with such examples it would do well if the U.S.A was to take this to heart and return to a more just and righteous path. One more suited to a nation that prides itself in the ways of equity, liberty and fairness.
Its hoped America will do so before the damage is to great to repair.
